Deputies are on the hunt for a person photographed on scene of recent vehicle break-ins near N.C. 150 in Lincoln County.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the incidents took place Wednesday in the 6200 block of N.C. 150 East and on Royal Oaks Drive off N.C. 150.

Residents discovered items missing from their vehicles Thursday morning and called the Sheriff’s Office, an agency press release said.

All vehicles were unlocked in the incidents, deputies noted.

Video surveillance at a Royal Oaks Drive residence recorded a person on scene.

Deputies said nearly 100 vehicles have been targeted across Lincoln County since March.

Anyone with information on the incidents or who can identify the person in the photo is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at (704) 732-9050, the Communications Center at (704) 735-8202 or Crime Stoppers at (704) 736-8909.
