Three Lincoln County men face a total of 15 felony counts after breaking into various locations in Denver and Mecklenburg County, stealing a variety of electronics, equipment and other items earlier this month, deputies said.

According to a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office press release issued Tuesday afternoon, deputies located the stolen goods at a home on the 2400 block of Ridgecrest Drive in Stanley.

Through an extensive investigation, detectives determined the names of the suspects and went to the residence where one of them lived, the release said.

While responding to the home, two of the men fled the area, according to deputies.

Officers later located and arrested the men, each on a different day between May 14 and Monday.

The three individuals included Christopher Miles Honaker, 32, of 2451 Ridgecrest Drive, Darrell Lee Driver, 28, of 6779 Campground Road in Denver and George Allen Stone Jr., 23, of 5985 Nora Drive in Iron Station.

The thefts occurred May 14 and 15, the Sheriff’s Office said, when the suspects allegedly took around $15,000 in goods.

Items worth nearly $2,000 were removed from an enclosed trailer at 1889 North N.C. 16 in Denver, the Sheriff’s Office said. The trio also took a debit card from a home in the 400 block of North Pilot Knob Road and an additional piece of equipment from a location in Charlotte, which the men later sold at an area pawn shop, deputies said.

Honaker, placed under a $150,000 secured bond, faces two felony counts of obtaining property by false pretenses and one felony count each of breaking and entering a building, larceny after breaking and entering, conspiracy, breaking and entering a trailer, larceny and possession of stolen goods. He also faces two misdemeanor counts of possession of stolen goods.

Honaker is currently on hold for Mecklenburg County authorities, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Driver, jailed under a $30,000 secured bond, is accused of one felony count each of breaking and entering a trailer, larceny, possession of stolen goods, identity theft and obtaining property by false pretenses.

Stone, who has since posted bond, faces one felony count each of breaking and entering a trailer, larceny, and possession of stolen goods.

Detectives credited with investigating the case and making the arrests included F. Runyon, G. Hager and T. Laverde. Charlie District officers additionally assisted, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The investigation remains open, and deputies are in the process of identifying owners of the stolen goods.
