A Lincolnton man accused of murdering his brother last month is set to make a second appearance in the case today.

Jeffery Dwayne Anders, 44, of 3381 Windy Hill Road, shot his younger brother in the head during an argument on April 24 in front of the victim’s residence, deputies said.

Rickey Dwayne Anders, 41, of 3504 Broad River Lane in Lincolnton, died at the scene.

Officers said the victim had just been released from prison in September after more than a decade behind bars.

Eddie Meeks, an attorney with The Law Office of Nichole B. Greene, is representing the defendant.

Jeffery Anders remains in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $750,000 secured bond.

He is charged with second-degree murder.
