North Lincoln’s 3,200-meter girls relay team is now in the record books.
The four-person team set a new county mark on Friday at the Taco Bell Classic in Columbia, S.C., coach Jerry Castro said.
The team, made up of seniors Allie Castro and Caitlin Potter and sophomores Madison Lynch and Madeline Sides, broke the mark with a new time of 9:44.43, Jerry Castro said.
As a team the Knights finished fifth among a field of teams from New York, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina.
Both Allie Castro and Potter will run for SEC programs next school year, with Castro signing with Georgia and Potter with South Carolina.
