Darian Roseboro has picked up yet another college offer.
The prized Lincolnton High defensive end’s latest offer came from Kentucky, Roseboro said from his Twitter account on Wednesday.
The offer gives the junior eight alone from the Southeastern Conference, which is said to be the best, most competitive major Division I college football conference in the country. Kentucky’s offer joins Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Missouri, South Carolina and Tennessee from the SEC.
Roseboro now has 28 major D-I offers for a full scholarship, according to the recruiting website, 247sports.com. In addition to the SEC schools, also offering Roseboro are N.C. State, Duke, Michigan, Ohio State, Clemson, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, Syracuse, Texas, UCLA, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and West Virginia.
Roseboro had 124 tackles and 10 sacks as a junior, and deflected seven passes.
BRUNT COMMITS TO JAMES MADISON: Lincolnton standout Zoauntarrious Brunt committed to James Madison University earlier this week after the Division I Dukes offered the defensive back a full scholarship, Wolves assistant Bobby McLaughlin said.
Brunt had a county-best 126 tackles last season, nine for loss, and picked off three passes.
