Criminal Charges

 

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

  •  Travis Wayne Baxter, 26, of 3073 Sorrells Baxter Rd. in Cherryville was charged March 25 with one count each of communicating threats and assault on a female by a male over 18 yrs. of age. No bond was set.
  • Ruby May Boggess, 32, of 1831 Lazenby St. of Newton was charged March 25 with one count each of domestic criminal trespass and communicating threats. No bond was set.
  • John Marvin Hester, 29, of 3409 Stubbs Pl. in Maiden was charged March 25 with one count of failure to comply. A $365 bond was set.
  • Daniel Richard Stroupe III, 26, of 3945 Garland St. in Maiden was charged March 25 with one felony count of notify change of address-sex offender. A $10,000 secured bond was set.
  • Paul David Payne, 50, of 7804 Hickory Creek Dr. in Denver was charged March 25 with one count of larceny by servants and employees. A $2,500 secured bond was set.
  • Candice Dawn Farris, 25, of 2854 E. N.C. 27 in Lincolnton was charged March 25 with one count of failure to appear. An unknown secured bond was set.
  • Eron Silva-Garcia, 17, of 1641 Knoll Dr. in Vale was charged March 25 with one count of failure to appear. An unknown secured bond was set.
  • Mandy Kay Costner, 28, of 102 Tavern Ln. in Maiden was charged March 25 with one count of failure to appear. A $500 secured bond was set.
  • Nicole Leigh Lane, 26, of 2926 Burgin-Smith Rd. in Vale was charged March 25 with one count of failure to appear. A $750 cash bond was set.
  • Armod Rashad Hunt, 25, of 6010 Little Mountain Rd. in Sherrills Ford was charged March 26 with one count of felony larceny. An $8,000 secured bond was set.
  • Crystal Ann Setzer, 42, of 2489 Country Club Rd. in Lincolnton was charged March 26 with one count of telephoning repeatedly for the purpose of annoying. An unknown unsecured bond was set.
  • Michael Carl Hice, 28, of 6231 Sherwood Ln. in Denver was charged March 26 with three counts each of larceny and possessing stolen goods. An unknown unsecured bond was set.
  • Arthur Lee McLean Sr., 70, of 930 Ben McLean Ln. in Stanley was served a true bill of indictment March 26 for larceny and possession of stolen goods/property. A $5,000 unsecured bond was set.
  • The Lincolnton Police Department reported the following arrests:
  • Barry Scott Icard, 56, of 268 Policarp St. in Lincolnton was charged March 24 with one misdemeanor count of failure to appear. A $250 secured bond was set.
  • Kevin Dennis Mauney Jr., 22, of 1815 Abington Rd. in Lenoir was charged March 25 with one misdemeanor count of larceny. A $500 secured bond was set.

The Lincolnton Police Department issued the following criminal summons:

  • Christopher Ray Gillespie, 17, of 8627 Old N.C. 18 in Lawndale was issued a criminal summons for communicating threats.
