ELMS team takes adult spelling bee

 

 

The team from East Lincoln Middle School won the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce’s Adult Spelling Bee on Tuesday by spelling “cnidarian,” a term that refers to jellyfish and other similar marine animals. Thirty-five teams participated in the event, which raised approximately $12,000. The ELMS team consisted of Heather Myers, Cheryl Bruno, Jennifer Huskey, Kqisha Dagenhart and Melissa Cordell.
