Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Hunter W. Latshaw recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas. He completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate’s degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force. Latshaw, a 2012 graduate of North Lincoln High School, is the son of Larry Latshaw, of Catawba, and the grandson of Doris Hunter, of Denver.

Air Force Airman Javier I. Hernandez recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas. He completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate’s degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force. Hernandez earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of Denia Capellan, of Lincolnton, and is a 2011 graduate of North Lincoln High School.
