Line dancing
The Lincoln County Senior Center, 514 S. Academy St. on the Gaston College-Lincoln campus in Lincolnton, will host line dance lessons 10-11 a.m. for ages 60 and up. Lessons will be every Wednesday in March. Cost is $2. For more information, call (704) 732-9053(704) 732-9053.

Caregiver workshop
Today is the final day to register for Wexford House’s upcoming workshop “What Every Adult Child Should Know.” The event will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 3900 Wexford Ln. in Denver. Lincoln County Senior Services is hosting the event.

School event
G.E. Massey Elementary School, 130 Newbold St. in Lincolnton, will host PLANETS portable planetarium for children, parents and media 5-5:20 p.m., 5:30-5:50 p.m., 6-6:20 p.m. and 6:30-6:50 p.m. Students will explore stars and identify constellations with an expert/educator from Morehead Planetarium and Science Center in Chapel Hill.

Diabetes discussion                             
CMC-Lincoln will host a discussion “Your Blood Sugar Meter” 6 p.m. at Sally’s YMCA, Forney Creek Pkwy. in Denver. Light refreshments will be provided.

Lincoln Quilters
Lincoln Quilters will meet 7 p.m. at the Citizens Center in downtown Lincolnton. Cindy Beal will present the program “Cabin Fever-Log Cabin Quilts.” Visitors are welcome.

FRIDAY
Public Eduation Foundation
The Lincoln County Public Education Foundation Board of Directors will meet 12 p.m. in the Executive Conference Room at the School Board Offices, N. Generals Blvd. in Lincolnton.

Spring Fling
G.E. Massey Elementary School’s PTA will host a Spring Fling 5-8 p.m. at the school, 130 Newbold St. in Lincolnton. Activities will include face painting, games, crafts, hair coloring, raffles baskets and more. There will also be a variety of carnival foods such as snow cones, pizza and popcorn. Kidz Klub
Hill’s Chapel UMC, 988 S. N.C. 16 in Stanley, will host a Kidz Klub: Outer Space Adventure 6-8 p.m. for children ages 3 through 5th grade. Dinner will be provided. No reservations are required.

Consigner pre-sale

Daystar Family Worship Center, 115 Industrial Trl. Rd. in Lincolnton, will host an indoor yard sale 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Church meal
Pleasant Grove UMC, 2069 N.C. 182 in Lincolnton, will serve pintos and cornbread for drive-thru pick-up 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and for dining-in at 5 p.m. The Lumber River Quartet will perform at 6 p.m. Meals are free, but a donation is suggested. Fish fry
The Poston and Cross families will sponsor a fish fry starting 12 p.m. in the field across from Ebony & White’s Funeral Service, 1139 E. Pine St. in Lincolnton. All proceeds will benefit Aleah Cross for the Cleveland County Dream Girl Pageant. Cost is $7 for fish plates, $3 for fish sandwiches, $5 for hot dog plates and $1 for drinks.

BBQ chicken supper

Cancer Casino Night
Relay for Life of Lincolnton will host Casino Night 7-10 p.m. at Homesteads Grill & Taphouse, N. Generals Blvd. in Lincolnton. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The event, for ages 21 and up, is also sponsored by Buddy Stasney’s Buick GMC Truck. Cost is $30. Church breakfast
Daniels Lutheran Church, 3170 Reepsville Rd. in Lincolnton, will host a country breakfast, open to the public, 7-10 a.m. Cost is $6 and will benefit the church building fund. There will also be a bake sale, sponsored by the Young Women’s Group. Proceeds from the sale will be used to update Sunday School classrooms.

SUNDAY
Church luncheon  
Boger City UMC, 2320 E. Main St. in Lincolnton, will host a community luncheon at 11:30 a.m. The menu will be a homestyle meat and vegetable combination with dessert and a beverage. A donation of $8 is suggested.
