More than a month after a western Lincoln County drug store was robbed of at least $1,000 worth of prescription pills, Sheriff’s detectives said they have yet to make an arrest in the case.

The law enforcement agency issued a press release Friday afternoon again seeking the public’s help in the incident.

Deputies said the theft took place just before 3 a.m. Jan. 31 at TAS Drug, located at 4471 W. N.C. 27 in Vale.

While deputies found the store’s rear door torn off its hinges, upon arrival, the business did not appear to be ransacked when officers searched inside the facility, the Sheriff’s Office said.

A store manager, who responded to the pharmacy a short time after officers, told deputies more than $1,000 in Hydrocodone pills and other controlled substances had been stolen.

Deputies searched the area, including a nearby location, but failed to find anyone, the release said.

Anyone with information about the break-in and theft is asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at (704) 732-9050(704) 732-9050, the Lincoln County Communications Center at (704) 735-8202(704) 735-8202 or Crime Stoppers at (704) 736-8909(704) 736-8909.

Any Crime Stoppers tips leading to an arrest may result in a reward of up to $1,000.

Callers may remain anonymous, deputies said.
