A rash of break-ins on the county’s southeastern end has deputies stumped.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said at least seven vehicles have been targeted on the 4300 block and 4700 block of East N.C. 27 along with locations along Randleman Road and Fox Den Circle.

The incidents were reported on Monday and Tuesday, the agency said.

Deputies noted the vehicles were unlocked and parked mainly at residences.

Items stolen in the incidents included credit and Social Security cards as well as cash, jewelry and prescription medication.

Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at (704) 732-9050, the Lincoln County Communications Center at (704) 735-8202 or Crime Stoppers at (704) 736-8909.

No arrests have been made at this time.
