A story that published in the Wednesday, Feb. 26, edition of the Lincoln Times-News incorrectly listed the position Lincolnton High football standout Darian Roseboro is being recruited for. Roseboro, who picked up an offer from Georgia on Thursday, is being recruited as a strongside defensive end.

Sportsmanship: Lincolnton High will hold a mandatory sportsmanship meeting for students and their parents participating in spring sports at 6 p.m. Monday in the new gym.
Stadium Renovation Committee: Lincolnton High’s Stadium Renovation Committee will have a meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the school’s media center.

Awards banquet
West Lincoln will hold its winter sports awards banquet in the new gym at 6 p.m. on March 10.

West Lincoln Optimist will hold signups for its spring baseball and softball seasons on Saturday from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The sports are offered to boys ages 3-12 by May 1 of the current year, and girls 3-18 by Jan. 1 of the current year. Cost is $55.
