Carolyn Heavner Goodwin
VALE — Carolyn Heavner Goodwin, age 69, of Hulls Grove Church Road in Vale, died on Wednesday, February 19, 2014.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church with Pastor Dale Pederson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Carolyn was born March 25, 1944, in Cleveland County to the late Ralph Foster and Kathleen Beam Heavner. She retired from the Co-op Extension office and also worked with the 4-H.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Bruce Goodwin of the home; two sons, D. Scott Goodwin and wife Shannon of Colfax and Jeffery A. Goodwin and wife Susan of Deer Park, Tex.; two brothers, David Heavner of Vale and Christopher Heavner of Clemson, S.C.; and four grandchildren.

Harriet Propst Lineberger
MAIDEN — Harriet Propst Lineberger, age 66, of 3668 Startown Road in Maiden, died on Wednesday, February 19, 2014.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Salem Lutheran and UCC Church with Rev. Dr. David Keck Sr., Rev. Anne Wepner, and Rev. Jack Rhyne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. this evening at Warlick Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Helen Propst, 3696 Startown Road, Maiden.
Harriet was born September 16, 1947, in Lincoln County to Helen Smith Propst and the late Moton Woodrow Propst. She worked as an administrative assistant and was a graduate of Kings Business College. Harriet was the Junior Sponsor for the North Carolina Rural Letter Carriers Association Auxiliary, and co-editor of the North Carolina Rural Carrier newsletter. She also served as the organist for Salem UCC Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Lee Lineberger of the home; a son, Ryan Lineberger and wife Kate of Newton; a daughter, Cheryl Boyle and husband Michael of Charleston, S.C.; mother, Helen Smith Propst; three sisters, Dianne Painter and husband Bud, and Susan Harris and husband Randy, all of Lincolnton, Robin Nicholson and husband Rick of Denver; and one grandson, Caleb Daniel Lineberger.

Tiechia Shantae Mack, 33, of Hickory died February 16, 2014.
A memorial service will be held today at 4:30 p.m. at Greater Shakinah Glory Church in Mt. View. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.

William Stanley Fowler
William Stanley Fowler, 52, of Connelly Springs died February 19, 2014.
A memorial service will be held February 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Valdese. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.

Howard Auton, 77, of Charlotte and formerly of Lincolnton died on February 17, 2014.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. on February 22, 2014 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the church.
