Gastroenterology Associates’ Physician Gregory Diamonti, MD, recently received a fellowship designation, FACG, from the American College of Gastroenterology. Recipients are selected based on significant professional achievement and superior competence within the field of gastroenterology, according to a Gastroenterology Associates press release.
Dr. Diamonti , who joined the practice in 2002, will be among four total GA physicians also designated as fellows, including Dr. Caroll Koscheski, Dr. John Meier and Dr. Frank Wright.
Diamonti received his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University in New York and his medical degree from State University of New York in Brooklyn. He completed his residency and fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, the release said.
He is board certified in gastroenterology and affiliated with Carolinas Medical Center–Lincoln in Lincolnton and Catawba Valley Medical Center and Frye Regional Medical Center, both in Hickory.
His peers also selected him to be among the “Best Doctors in North Carolina” list. Diamonti and his wife, Marsha, have three children.
Gastroenterology Associates operates two offices including one in Lincolnton at 1470 East Gaston Street in the Lincoln Medical Specialists Center and a second one in Hickory at 415 North Center Street in the Medical Specialties Center.
