Kathy Elaine Houser Ledbetter, age 55, of 268 Hilltop Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, February 17, 2014.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Kathy McAbee officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. this evening at Warlick Funeral Home.
Kathy was born May 1, 1958, in Lincoln County to John L. and Mary Ramsey Houser. She worked as a coordinator for Ethan Allen in Maiden.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jeff Ledbetter of the home; daughter, Stephanie Campbell and husband Keith of Lincolnton; father and mother, John L. and Mary Houser of Lincolnton; sisters, Teresa Wyont of Lincolnton and Donna Leatherman of Vale; and a granddaughter, Jaylise Campbell.

Ruby Gail Willis Ingle, age 66, of 1134 Rosehill Drive in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, February 16, 2014.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. today in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in the Midnight Cry Tabernacle cemetery. The family received friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Warlick Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of her son, Bobby Houser, at 2821 Landers Church Road in Lincolnton.
Ms. Ingle was born July 15, 1947, in Lincoln County to the late Marvin and Alma Reep Motz Willis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, David “Pee-Wee” Motz; and two sisters, Myrtle Hull and Juanita Beal. She worked as a cashier at Hilltop Superette.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Houser Jr. of Lincolnton, Tommy Houser and wife Melody of Concord, and Bobby Houser and wife Donna of Lincolnton; a daughter, Teresa Kistler and husband Phil; three sisters, Mabeline Hoyle of Iron Station, JoAnn Costello of High Shoals, and Diane Self of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

BESSEMER CITY —Harold Dean Helton, 77, of Bessemer City, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014.
He was a native of Gaston County and the son of the late Dewey Helton and Venice Lowe Helton.
The family received friends at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia with Reverend Andy Raines and Reverend Andy Broughton officiating.
Committal service will be at Hollywood Cemetery with Reverend Ronnie Helton officiating.
Harold was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and retired from 4 C’s Food Service with over twenty three years of service.
Survivors include his wife, of forty years, Mary Hall Helton; son, Joey Helton and wife Barbara; daughter, Carol Stephenson; grandchildren, Jason Helton and wife Anjelic, Clinton Stephenson and Heather Stephenson; great grandchildren, Khloey Helton, Kourtney Helton, Jade Helton, Brooklyn Buchanan and Hunter Hanif; brothers, John Helton and wife Janet and Rev. Ronnie Helton; sisters, Gwen Ellington and Pat Brown and husband Joe.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Garland Helton, Charles Helton, Frank Helton and Donnie Helton; sister, Jean H. Enloe.

MAIDEN — Katherine Udell Canipe Martin, age 80, of Abernethy Laurels in Newton, and formerly of 6487 Startown Road in Maiden, died on Monday, February 17, 2014.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Marvin United Methodist Church with Rev. James Tate officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Friday.
Katherine was born October 27, 1933, in Catawba County to the late Alvin H. and Minnie Katherine Fisher Canipe. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers Alvin Canipe Jr. and Bobby D. Canipe, and a sister Pauline Cody. She worked in furniture manufacturing.
She is survived by her husband, Wilson C. Martin Sr. of the home; son, Wilson C. Martin Jr. of Maiden; daughter-in-law, Janice Summerville Martin of Mooresville; two brothers, Herman Canipe of Matthews and Dwight Canipe of Maiden; one sister, Polly McSwain of Rock Hill, S.C.; and two grandchildren, Alexa Katheryne Martin and Trent Calvin Martin.

Ted Dewey Hartsoe
Ted Dewey Hartsoe, 72, of Warner Robins, Ga. entered into rest on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Ted was born on May 22, 1941in Vale.
With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Air Force. Ted was the Utility Director for the City of Warner Robins, dedicating over forty-two years of faithful employment, before retiring. He also taught at Central Georgia Technical College in Macon for eighteen years.
His parents, Carl and Kate Hartsoe; sister, Sandra McCue; brother, William Doras “Buster” Hartsoe; all preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of fifty-one years, Margaret J. Hartsoe of Warner Robins, Ga.; son, Ted Dewey Hartsoe Jr. of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; daughter, Donna Austin of Warner Robins, Ga.; sister, JoAnn Hill of Vale; granddaughter, Haley Austin Scardina of Warner Robins, Ga.; great grandchildren, Matthew and Lucy of Warner Robins, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
