North Lincoln senior Liza Sipe has signed to play volleyball at Catawba Valley Community College, the Buccaneers announced in a press release.
“Liza is a great team player. She will contribute to the CVCC team as a wonderful player and student. She will be missed at NLHS, but she will be great on the college level,” Knights coach Lynn Rhyne said in the release.
In addition to playing for North Lincoln, Sipe is a member of the Carolina Select Club team, whose current record in 18-1.
Buccaneers coach Shannon Hudson said: “Liza is a smart, athletic player whose court awareness and experience will be huge assets for us this fall. I am thrilled that she has decided to become part of our Lady Buccaneers programs.”
Sipe, who plans to pursue a degree in exercise science and transferring to a four-year university after two years at CVCC, was third on the team in kills last fall with 120.
