North Brook #2 Extension and Community Association Club met earlier this month with 11 members. President Lucille Johnson called the meeting to order after a group devotion, “True Greatness” from Mark 10:35-45. A meal followed the reading, and members celebrated Jean Hoyle’s birthday.
In addition to praising individuals who participated in National Pie Day, club discussion included talk about the Senior Center’s fidget apron-making and pie dough workshops held Jan. 23 and Jan. 28.
The Cooperative Extension’s 100th Anniversary celebration will be Feb. 5 at the Citizens Center, group members said. In addition, they discussed a jewelry workshop taking place every first Monday of the month in the Extension’s first-floor kitchen at the Citizens Center.
New directories and calendars were also handed out to members and dates marked for upcoming events. The meeting adjourned following a group recitation of “Collect.”
