Sexual abuse support  
AVID’s Sexual Assault Crisis Program will offer a support group for survivors of sexual abuse (women only) 5 p.m. at 105 W. Court Square in Lincolnton. For more information, call (704) 240-4447 or (704) 864-7704.

Art auction 
The “Be a Hero Art Auction” benefiting Communities in Schools (CIS) of Lincoln County will be 7 p.m. at the Cultural Center in Lincolnton. Carolina Trust Bank is also sponsoring the event. Cost is $10; tickets will be available at the CIS office and the Cultural Center. The event will showcase the work of a professional comic book artist, local artisans and CIS students. SATURDAY
Pancake fundraiser   
The North Lincoln High School Drama Club will host a Pancake Improvisation Breakfast at 8-10 a.m. at Fatz restaurant, E. Main St. in Lincolnton. Cost is $8 and members. YMCA camp kick-off      
The Sally’s YMCA in Denver will host a camp kick-off event 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for individuals to meet leadership staff and register for camp. 5K registration                                                                                                                     
Registration is due for the East Lincoln High School Valentine’s 5K. Cost is $15 for singles and $35 for couples. Cost is $10 per person for the one-mile fun run. Medicine Drop  
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office will host an unwanted medicine drop 9-11 a.m. at 700 John Howell Memorial Dr. in Lincolnton. The following items may be dropped off: over-the-counter medications, vitamins and supplements, prescription medications, liquid medications in leak-proof containers and ointments/creams. Aerosol cans will not be accepted. Individuals may remain anonymous. For questions or additional information, call (704) 732-9050.

Church concert    
Grace Baptist Church, 495 Horseshoe Lake Rd. in Lincolnton, will host The Staffsman Quartet in concert at 7 p.m.

SUNDAY
Church luncheon  
Crouse UMC, 2376 Pleasant Grove Ch. Rd. in Crouse, will host a fried chicken luncheon to benefit the Church Building, Renovation and Maintenance Fund 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. An $8 donation per plate is suggested.

Nutrition meeting

TUESDAY
Gourmet cooking workshop    
The Cooperative Extension will host the workshop “Basics of Gourmet Cooking” 5:30 p.m. at the Citizens Center in Lincolnton. Melinda Houser will discuss ways to cook smart, eat smart and move more. Lion’s Club    
The Lincolnton Lion’s Club will meet 7 p.m. in the Elm Classroom at CMC-Lincoln’s Medical Plaza, 441 McAlister Rd. in Lincolnton. Past District Governor Randy Champion, from the Black Mountain Lion’s Club, will discuss his club’s successful fundraising project. Members and guests planning to eat in the hospital cafeteria should arrive 30 minutes before the meeting. A Board of Directors meeting will follow.

WEDNESDAY
Extension’s 100th Anniv.         
The Cooperative Extension will celebrate its 100th Anniversary with a kick-off event. Breakfast will be 7:30 a.m. at the Citizens Center in Lincolnton. Cost is $10.
