Deputies are searching for the culprit who cut thousands of dollars in copper wiring out of the walls of an eastern county business that is under construction.

Ross Bulla, owner of Black Site, LLC, in Denver, contacted deputies about the incident around 10 a.m. Friday after noticing the wire had been removed from the facility’s unfinished walls, a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office report said.

Bulla also told officers that he left the facility, with everything still “intact,” around 3 p.m. Thursday.

The business is located on Smith Harbour Drive.

Cost of repair is estimated at $12,000.

An investigation is continuing.
