John Tillman Hull
HICKORY — John Tillman Hull, of Hickory passed away on January, 7 2014.
John was born on the Peeler farm, Belwood, Cleveland County, N.C. on January 10, 1926 to Ralph Clifton and Mary Peeler Hull. He grew up on the family farm in the Flay Section of Lincoln County. He graduated from North Brook High School and attended Lenoir-Rhyne College. After his first year at Lenoir-Rhyne, he joined the U. S. Marines and was sent to the Pacific. After World War II was over, he returned home, attended and graduated from North Carolina State College, majoring in General Engineering. While at Lenoir-Rhyne, he met Mildred Cline and they were married on June 21, 1950. John was owner of H. C. Cline Building and Supply. He was a long time member of the First Methodist Church of Hickory and taught the Adult Fellowship Class for many years. He was a lifetime member of North Carolina Wildlife.
John loved anything concerning the outdoors. He started hunting as a boy on the Hull Farm. He made his first trip to Wyoming in 1961 to hunt game in the Rocky Mountains and continued to hunt as long as he was able. His last major hunt was with his son, Tillman for big game in Namibia, Africa. In his later years, he loved to sit on the porch of the farm in Flay, watch the wildlife, and reminisce about his days growing up there.
John was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Mary Hull; his wife, Mildred and his brother, Caleb Hull and by his brother-in-law, C. O. Plyler Jr.
He is survived by his daughters, Rosanne Hull Pritchett, Betty Hull Peterson (husband Garrett Camp), Susan Hull Myer (husband John Myer); son, John Tillman Hull II; six grandchildren, Jessica and Kirsten Peterson, Jonathan, Erin, Kristen and Lauren Myer; sister, Ruth Plyler of Jacksonville, Fla., and his brother Burl Hull of Greensboro.
The funeral will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 1 p.m. at First Methodist Church, Hickory. A reception will follow in the social hall and a brief graveside service at 3 p.m.

Kenneth Lincoln Reinhardt
MAIDEN — Kenneth Lincoln Reinhardt, age 91, of 6957 E. Highway 150, in Maiden, died on Tuesday, January 7, 2014.
His funeral service will be 1 p.m. today at Lebanon United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Fulker officiating. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with graveside military rites. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2014 atWarlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Reinhardt was born May 24, 1922 in Catawba County to the late Calvin and Jennie Hicks Reinhardt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four sisters, Ora Lee Mathis, Clare Lawing, Ethel Barkley, and Eileen Summers, and a brother, Charlie Reinhardt. He served in the United States Army during World War II where he was a medic in the Timberwolf Division of the 104th Infantry. He later worked as a salesman for Dixie Boat Works in Newton for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Coleen Beale Reinhardt of the home; a son, Ronnie Reinhardt and wife Beth of Iron Station; three daughters, Camilla Fogle and husband Larry of Sherrills Ford, Rebecca Duffey and husband Ron of Maiden, and Camy Sorge and husband Jim of Greensboro; two brothers, Darryl Reinhardt of Newton and Frank Reinhardt of Maiden; two sisters, Lucille Settlemyre and Maxine Elder, both of Maiden; seven grandsons, Sean Reinhardt, Seth Reinhardt, Ben Phillips and wife Crystal, Rick Phillips and wife Merrimeth, Matt Sorge, Tim Holder and wife Susie, and Kenneth Chad Holder; two granddaughters, Emily Sorge and Anna Reinhardt; and six great-grandchildren, Anna Holder, Miles Holder, Ruby Phillips, Zevah Philips, Sadie Phillips, and Mack Phillips.

Paul Evans Bollinger, 89, of Newton, died January 9, 2014.
The family will receive friends today at Burke Mortuary, Newton from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held on January 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Old St. Paul’s Lutheran Evangelical Church, Newton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Lonnie Ray Bustle, 68, of Claremont died January 8, 2014.
A service to celebrate Lonnie’s life will be held January 11, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Providence Road Baptist Church, Maiden. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military grave rites. The family will receive friends on January 11, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Providence Road Baptist Church.
