Bibleway Church #9, Horseshoe Lake Rd. in Lincolnton, will host a fish fry 4-7 p.m.
The North Lincoln Band of Knights will march 9:30 a.m. in the Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade from S. Tryon St. to W. Stonewall St. in Charlotte. WBTV will broadcast the event at 1 p.m.
Cat Square voting
Nominations for this year’s Cat Square Parade Mayor, Little Miss Cat Square and Miss Cat Square may be made 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cat Square Superette. (Look for the Shriner’s wagon.) Individuals may also register any horses, 4-wheelers and parade floats. The parade will be 2 p.m. Dec. 14 with lineup at 1 p.m. Nominations and registration will again take place Dec. 7. Individuals will also vote that day among the top 3 mayor nominations.
The Cherryville Little Theatre, 301 W. Academy St., will host auditions 3-5 p.m. for the upcoming Southern comedy “Dearly Departed.” Cast will include 5 men and 9 women ages 20s-70s and 3 to 5 teens ages 15-18. Lincolnton parade / tree lighting

Denver tree lighting
The Denver community Christmas tree lighting will be 5 p.m. at Lake Norman Lutheran Church, 1445 State Rd. 16 in Denver. Dixie Moon Band will emcee the event.
