Lincolnton will hold a required winter sportsmanship meeting for any athlete and their parents who are participating in a winter sport in the gym on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
WLO: West Lincoln Optimist is holding registration for boys and girls youth basketball (K-12) at North Brook Elementary gym from 6:15-7:30 p.m. on Thursday and on Saturday from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.. No late registrations will be accepted. The fee is $55.
Men’s industrial league: The City of Lincolnton Parks and Recreation Department will hold an organizational meeting for an industrial men’s basketball league at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lentz Recreation Center at Betty G. East Lincoln baseball coach Chris Matile is directing an indoor baseball skills camp beginning Jan. 5, and the camp will run every Sunday for six weeks. The camp is for ages 6-10 and 11-15, with a session solely dedicated to hitting and one to pitching, catching and infielders. Cost for one session $120, or $190 for both. Session 1 (hitting) for ages 6-10 will be 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and Session 2 (pitching, catching, infielders) from 1:15-2:45. The same sessions for ages 11-15 will be from 3-4:30 and 4:45-6:15.
