A man told deputies a woman threatened him with a large knife before robbing him.

According to a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office report, Randy Lee Rinck Jr., had been hanging out with the woman Friday in Maiden before returning to her home on the 2600 block of Keener Road in Lincolnton.

The man told officers that upon entering the home, the woman pulled a large knife on him and took $35 from his billfold.

While Rinck initially tried to flee the residence, the woman grabbed his shirt, pulling him back from the doorway, the report said.

He told officers he later escaped the residence and ran to a nearby friend’s house.

Rinck did not press charges in the incident, deputies said.
