Wildcats win league crown

Lincolnton Middle School won the Tri-County Conference boys soccer title last month. It knocked off three-time defending conference champion North Lincoln in penalty kicks. Lincolnton Middle School’s boys soccer team won the Tri-County Conference championship last month.
The Wildcats finished the regular season first in the East Division with a 7-1 record.
Lincolnton knocked off Crest in the first playoff match, then faced three-time defending league champion North Lincoln Middle in the championship match.
With a 1-1 tie after regulation and a pair of scoreless 5-minute overtime periods, the title came down to penalty kicks with the Wildcats converting three of their first four shots to claim the championship.
After the win the team capped its season with a free catered lunch courtesy of Bojangles.

The team is coached by Eric Radebaugh and Jose De Dios.
