Veterans Day breakfast
American Legion Post 30 will host its annual Veterans Day breakfast 8 a.m. at post headquarters, 1120 N. Aspen St. in Lincolnton. Coalition of Churches
Lincoln County Coalition of Churches will meet 7 p.m. at Oaklawn School in Lincolnton to finalize plans for Martin Luther King Jr., day. The public is invited to attend.
Community Blood Center of the Carolinas will host a blood drive 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gaston College-Lincoln campus, 511 S. Aspen St. in Lincolnton. All donors will receive a free T-shirt.
Pumpkin Center Primary School in Lincolnton will hold its monthly McDonalds fundraiser 5-8 p.m. at the new McDonalds in Boger City. The event will be the second Tuesday of each month through May. Each child will receive a free tasty surprise. All funds raised will be used to purchase new technology and basic school supplies for classrooms.

Veterans school event
G.E. Massey Elementary School, 130 Newbold St. in Lincolnton, will host a Veterans Day celebration 9 a.m. at the flagpole. The Lincolnton High School chorus and elementary students will perform songs, and a number of community veterans will be in attendance.

First Presbyterian Church, 114 W. Main St. in Lincolnton, will host dinner at 6 p.m. to support Coalition Against Child Abuse and the Child Advocacy Center.
