Thomas Cameron Hallman
June 27, 1986 – November 1, 2013)
Thomas Cameron Hallman, 27, of 306 Terrace Place in Lincolnton died from complications of a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy on Friday, November 1, 2013.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Warlick Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Lincolnton on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Mary McKey officiating. Burial will be in Hollybrook Cemetery in Lincolnton.
Cameron was born on June 27, 1986. He was the son of Randy and Ann Hallman. He attended Lincolnton High School and remained a loyal Wolves fan. Cameron was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed pulling for the UNC Tarheels, Carolina Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, and the Atlanta Braves alongside his brother and best friend, Christopher. Together, they also loved watching WWE Wrestling.
Cameron was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lincolnton. He loved God, his family, and his friends of all ages. He dearly loved and admired his big brother “Kiki” who shared his hopes and dreams. Together they faced many adversities with a love and understanding that only two brothers and best friends could share.
Survivors include his parents, Randy and Ann Hallman; brother, Christopher; and maternal grandparents, Ralph and Nancy Freeman. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Evan and Ruth Hallman.

Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Dare Hauss Hoover
Mrs. Elizabeth “Betsy” Dare Hauss Hoover, age 89, of 2085 Shoal Road, Lincolnton died Saturday, November 2, 2013.
Her funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Bethphage Lutheran Church with Rev. Fred Mitschke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Tuesday in the Congregational Life Building of Bethphage Lutheran Church prior to the service.
Mrs. Hoover was born in Lincoln County on March 18, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Silas and Catherine Avery Hauss. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Noah Logan Hoover. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Hoover is survived by one son, Harry Hoover and wife, Ann of Cherryville; two daughters, Teresa Houser and husband, Max of Lincolnton, Maeka Shronce and husband, John of Crouse; eight grandchildren, Barbara Ann Baker and husband, Rob, Harriet Hoover and husband, Chris McSween, Matthew Logan Hoover, Caine Houser and wife, Heather, Ashlee Ledford and husband, Davey, Haley Bowman, Jacob Shronce and wife, Jessie, and Logan Shronce; eight great-grandchildren, Rachel Baker, Sarah Baker, Marie Baker, Cooper Houser, Cannyn Houser, Eden Ledford, Morgan Dean and Fallon Dean.

Flora Harbin Locklin
Flora Harbin Locklin, age 87, of 4668 Dick Wilson Road in Denver, died on Saturday, November 2, 2013.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. David Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. prior the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Locklin was born December 24, 1925 in Greenville, S.C. to the late Edgar Harbin Sr. and Lillie Augusta Harbin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel William Locklin. She worked in textiles and spent her free time camping, working puzzles and cooking.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynn Smith of Greenville, S.C.; two sons, James Locklin of Denver and Richard Terry Locklin and wife Katherine of Lincolnton; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Carroll Thomas Quinn, 90, of the Landers Chapel Community of Gaston County and most recently Catawba Valley Living at Rock Barn, died November 2, 2013.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Landers Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
