Lincoln County’s Board of Education will meet Tuesday night to discuss the future of Asbury Alternative School. Discussion has been brought up in previous community meetings as to whether the alternative school should be renovated or relocated to a different school campus. While Chairwoman Candy Burgin states the public is welcome to attend, no public comments on the matter will be permitted.

During the Curriculum Committee Meeting, board members will discuss Lincoln County’s School of Technology and their current Career and Technical Education Programs. The Budget and Finance Committee Meeting, led by Chairperson Bob Silver, will give an update on child nutrition. Finally, the Policy Committee Meeting, led by Chairperson Cathy Davis, will discuss Policy 3400, regarding the evaluation of student progress and Policy 3623/4343, which involves the drug testing of student athletes.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the Administrative Offices on North Generals Blvd.
