Fall yard sale
Ethelene’s Annual Fall Yard Sale will take place 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 2600 Keever Dairy Farm Road in Lincolnton. Proceeds will go to help with missions for Salem Baptist Church. The yard sale will be rescheduled if it rains.

Piecemakers Quilt Guild will host “Quilted Treasures 2013 Quilt Show,” a two-day event 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Citizens Center in Lincolnton. Toys for Tots kickoff
A Toys for Tots kickoff event will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Howards Creek Veterans Center, 508 Howards Creek School Road in Lincolnton. Attendees will learn about the program and can sign their children up to receive toys for Christmas. There will be fire trucks, sheriff cars, vintage vehicles, National Guard vehicles, a Toys for Tots train, jumpy house, hot dogs and Santa. The Miss Lincoln County Marine Corps League queens will also make an appearance. All past, present and future marines are welcome.
