One-stop voting for the Lincolnton municipal election gets underway Thursday.

Those planning to vote early may do so on the second floor of the Citizens Center in downtown Lincolnton between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays through Nov. 1.

While closed on weekends in between, the early-voting site will be open for one last chance Saturday, Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Absentee ballots are, meanwhile, due 5 p.m. Nov. 4, with polling places for the general election open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is Oct. 29.

On the ballot this year are candidates for mayor of Lincolnton and City Council Ward I and III seats.
