LKN scavenger hunt
The 4th Annual Lake Norman Leukemia Cup Regatta will be today and Saturday benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Activities will start 6 p.m. today and again 9:55 a.m. on Saturday. Art exhibit
The 2013 Paul C. Rhyne Art Competition exhibit will be on display 6-8 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 7 p.m. at the Cultural Center in Lincolnton. For more information, call (704) 732-9044 or email artslincolnnc@gmail.com.

Liberty Apostolic Tabernacle of 161 Shell St. in Lincolnton will be in Revival Friday and Saturday. Services will begin at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Bro. Freeman Hamrick from Georgia. Come expecting to be blessed.

Yard sale
Lakeside Church of God, 6636 Pine Ridge Dr. in Denver, will host a community yard sale 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Church bazaar
McKendree UMC, Maiden Hwy. in Maiden, will host a fall bazaar 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. with baked goods and a yard sale.

Country breakfast
Marvin UMC, Startown Rd. in Lincolnton, will host a country breakfast buffet 7-10 a.m. A $6 donation is suggested. Proceeds will benefit the parsonage fund.

Country breakfast
The UMC Women’s group at Bess Chapel UMC, 6073 Flay Rd. in Cherryville, will host a country breakfast 7-10 a.m. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children.

Goat Festival/bazaar
May’s Chapel UMC in Maiden will host its annual Fainting Goat Festival and Bazaar 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds will benefit church missions and other minstry projects. The event will feature mini silky fainting goats, Nigerian dwarf dairy goats and other small animals 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Goat milk products such as soap, lotion and lip balm will be for sale along with baked goods. Fall Cleanup
Lincoln County will participate in the N.C. Big Sweep Fall Cleanup 8 a.m. at Beatty’s Ford Park in Denver. Boats will depart from the park between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. and return 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. For more information or to volunteer, contact Patty Korn at (704) 489-8761 or pattykornpjk@aol.com.

Fall festival/fish fry
The Whitehat Ministry of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 907 Calvary Ln. in Vale, will host a fall festival 11 a.m. with a car show, fish fry and yard sale. Canned goods will be for sale. Mobile food drop
Christian Ministries of Lincoln County and Second Harvest Food Bank in Charlotte, Laboratory UMC and other Lincolnton area Methodist on a Mission churches will host a mobile food drop 8 a.m. at Pisgah UMC, 2582 Gastonia Hwy. in Lincolnton. Food will handed out to USDA qualified individuals or SNAP recipients.

Alpaca festival
Good Karma Ranch Alpacas, 1041 Brevard Pl. Rd. in Iron Station, will host their 2nd Annual Fall Fest 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for free. Overeaters Anonymous

Pig Pickin’ fundraiser
The Daystar Motorcycle Ministry and CMA Chapter of Lincolnton will be hosting a pig pickin’ fundraiser 6 p.m. today below the Hilltop Store in Lincolnton, 882 West N.C. 150. There will be BBQ, a bonfire and the 3:16 Band will be playing. Attendees should bring a lawn chair. All donations will go to the band. Call (704) 472-9072 for more information.

Bike show/auction
Driven By Grace Biker Ministry will host Britt’s 7th Annual Bike Show & Auction 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lincolnton Church of God’s Family Life Center, 1435 Riverview Rd. in Lincolnton. There will be a free BBQ lunch, live music, vendors, awards, shirts and more. Cost is $15 to enter the bike show, and all bikes must ride in. Rain date will be Oct. 19.

Miss Lincoln County Marine Corps League Scholarship Pageant will be 6 p.m. at Covenant Bible Church, 2168 Gastonia Hwy. in Lincolnton. Cost is $8 for seniors and $5 for children 6-12. Church BBQ

Rosary Rally
St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church in Lincolnton will sponsor a Rosary Rally 12 p.m. on the courthouse lawn. The event’s purpose is to pray for the nation.

Art & Wine Fest

River Oaks Band

River View Baptist Church, 2230 Riverview Rd. in Lincolnton , will host its annual homecoming starting 9:45 a.m. with Sunday school. A worship service will follow at 11 a.m. Lunch will be provided. Reverend Keith Hollar, of South Fork Missionary Baptist Church, will speak.

First Baptist High Shoals will host its annual homecoming 11 a.m. with Rev. Malcolm Ivey and special music. A covered dish luncheon will follow the service in the fellowship hall.

Lions Club
