MONDAY
Water restriction
A voluntary water restriction will go into effect at 5 a.m. and last through 5 p.m. Nov. 26. For more information and updates on the restriction, visit the Emergency Alert System on the county website, lincolncounty.org.

Diabetes course
Register now to attend the six-week course “Living Healthy with Diabetes” at Crouse UMC, 3311 Crouse Sch. Rd. in Crouse. The class will be 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is co-sponsored and taught by the Lincoln County Cooperative Extension and Senior Services. To register or for more information, call (704) 736-8461.

Board of Education
The Lincoln County Board of Education will hold a special-called meeting to discuss Asbury Alternative School 5 p.m. at the LCS administrative offices on N. Generals Blvd. in Lincolnton.

Christmas show auditions
The Lincoln Theatre Guild will hold the first audition day for the Best Christmas Pageant Ever 7 p.m. at the Lincoln Cultural Center in Lincolnton. Show dates will be Dec. 6-8 and 13-15. TUESDAY
NARFE meeting
Chapter 1983 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet 12 p.m. at the the Lincoln House Restaurant in Lincolnton. Members will nominate officers for next year’s board. For more information, call (704) 748-6498.

Lincoln County Board of Education will hold its monthly meeting 6:30 p.m. in the Board Conference Room in the LCS administrative offices on N. Generals Blvd. in Lincolnton.

Pumpkin Center Primary School will have a fundraising night 5-8 p.m. at the new  McDonalds in Boger City. All monies raised will be used to purchase technology and basic school supplies for classrooms.

WEDNESDAY
“Rebel Navy” Day
West Lincoln High School’s Navy Junior ROTC will march 10 a.m. in the football stadium for the 10th Annual “Rebel Navy” Day Pass-in-Review.

Sirens test
McGuire Nuclear Station in Huntersville, near the Lincoln-Mecklenburg line, will test its sirens starting 11:50 a.m.

Seniors event
The Iron Station Senior Citizens group will meet 12 p.m. at Ironton Presbyterian Church for a covered dish lunch. SHIIP will also present a program on Medicare prescription drug plans and fraud.

THURSDAY
LHS reunion

Quilt Guild

Quit smoking class
CMC-Lincoln will host a free, three-session program to help people quit smoking. The QuitSmart program uses techniques like brand switching and nicotine replacement therapy. Democratic Women

The 4th Annual Lake Norman Leukemia Cup Regatta will be today and Saturday benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Activities will start 6 p.m. today and again 9:55 a.m. on Saturday.
