Family Dollar is eyeing a new location in Denver, with a public hearing set for the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners’ Oct. 7 meeting.
C4 Development is requesting a conditional-use permit to construct an 8,320-square-foot store, driveways and parking area on a 1.6-acre lot on the north side of N.C. 16 Business, roughly 850 feet west of Forest Hills Drive in Catawba Springs Township.
The property, currently owned by LNNC Investments, is in an area designated by the county’s “N.C. 16 Corridor Vision Plan” as the “Downtown Denver” community center, a service area for surrounding neighborhoods.
The proposal will have to adhere to certain stormwater-control measures to move forward, as the developed site would be in a watershed district.
