Alumni reunion
• LHS football reunion: Lincolnton High School will host a special alumni reunion weekend Sept. 13-14 for anyone who has played football for the school. The weekend will include a social at 6 p.m. on Sept. 13 prior to the Wolves’ home game with East Gaston, and all former players in attendance will be recognized on the field at 6:45. The 1993 NCHSAA state 2A championship team will also be recognized, as this year is the 20th anniversary of the school’s first state title in the sport. The school will also hold a ceremony for a monument placed in front of the new scoreboard in memory and honor of former coach Von Ray Harris. On Sept. 14, a golf tournament will be held at Lincoln Country Club. Lincolnton Athletic Director Scott Cloninger is encouraging all former players to spread the word about the event. For more details call 704-735-5003.

Golf fundraiser
WL golf tournament: West Lincoln will host a four-person Captain’s Choice golf tournament fundraiser at Lincoln Country Club on Oct. 12. Cost is $55 per golfer, or $220 per team. Lunch will be served at noon, with golf following at 2 p.m. Call 980-241-2966, 707-473-0013 or 704-472-3022 to enter.
