Yard sale
Christ Caring, Christ Sharing Independent Church will host a yard sale 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1940 N.C. 27 West in Lincolnton. The sale takes place the same time each day and raises money for mission-related items.

Dental bus
A dental bus will be at Hesed House, 100 Anne Gaither Ct. in Lincolnton, 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to arrive at 7:45 a.m. Lunch will be provided.

Music Revival
Grammy-nominated “The Grascals” will perform at the Catawba Valley Music Revival in Cherryville.

LHS 2003 reunion

BBQ fundraiser
Pisgah UMC’s Methodist Men’s group will host a Perkins-Huffman annual BBQ fundraiser 11 a.m. at 2582 Gastonia Hwy. in Lincolnton. Cost is $7 per plate. Dine-in or take-out options will be available.

Senior Center open house

Church breakfast
Bethel Baptist Church, 200 Bethel Baptist Ch. Rd. in Lincolnton, will host a country style breakfast buffet 7-10 a.m. Cost is $6.

Golf tournament

Music event
A free “Music in the Park” event will be 4-7 p.m. at Gaston County Park, 1303 Dallas-Cherryville Hwy. in Dallas. Featured performers will be His Band, First Time Around, The Phillips Family, Patricia Franklin Murphy and more. Free hot dogs will also be available. Donations will help accepted to send 10,000+ meals to marginalized people in the Kashatagh Province of the impoverished Nagomo-Karabakh Republic. The event is sponsored by local churches. Church concert
Living Word Ministries, 1062 N.C. 16 in Lowesville, will host “The Griffins,” of Spartanburg, “The Childers Family,” Carroll Cooke and “Determined” in concert at 6 p.m. A free dinner will be served at 4:30 p.m. Cost is $10 for teens and up. Cancer fundraiser
“The Rack Pack,” a local team raising money for next month’s AVON Walk for Breast Cancer in Charlotte, will host a fundraiser today (Sept. 8) through Tuesday at the Wal-Mart in Lincolnton. Proceeds will benefit women who do not have insurance and need cancer screenings, treatments and counseling.

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 4051 King Wilkinson Rd. in Lincolnton, will host a homecoming with worship 11 a.m. with guest speaker Rev. Milbert Kurtz. A covered dish lunch will follow the service.
