Eagles volleyball, soccer win big

Christina Famulari had seven kills and Haley Hubeli added 13 digs to help Lincoln Charter’s varsity volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Pine Lake Prep on Tuesday.
Set scores were 25-14, 25-13 and 25-13.
Hunter Mullis had 16 assists and four aces and Madi NeeSmith had six kills and 10 digs for the Eagles (4-0, 3-0 Southern Piedmont 1A), who travel to Christ the King today.

LINCOLN CHARTER 11, STUART CRAMER 2: At Belmont, the Eagles picked up a non-conference win in a big way.
Danny Aguilar and Blake Artavia had a hat trick each, Daniel Moore scored twice, Curtis Jackson scored, Agusto Moron scored and Noah Brock scored as Lincoln Charter outshot the first-year school 30-8.
Moore added two assists, Artavia had an assist, Moron had an assist, Brock had an assist, and Cory Martin and Mattie Groff added assists.
The match was 2-1 early in the 17th minute, but the Eagles reeled off five unanswered goals.
Isaiah Smith had two saves in goal for Lincoln Charter (2-2), which travels to Southlake Christian on Thursday.
EAST LINCOLN 3, PINE LAKE PREP 2: At East Lincoln, the Mustangs won their second straight match on Thursday.
Garrett Reavis and Brett Shanklin had a goal and assist each while Tyler Mispley added a goal in the come-from-behind win.
East Lincoln now has 14 goals in four matches after scored just eight in all of 2012. The Mustangs (2-3), who fell to South Iredell 4-0 on Monday, host North Lincoln today.
EAST LINCOLN 6, HUNTER HUSS 4: At Hunter Huss, the Mustangs won their first match of the year last Wednesday after trailing by three goals in the first half.
Brett Shanklin scored five goals and had an assist. Nick Loftin scored East Lincoln’s final goal.
