The North Brook #2 Extension and Community Association Club recently held its August meeting, with 11 members present. The welcome was given by the club’s president, Lucille Johnson, who also read scripture. Several enjoyed a meal together.
In old business, the president thanked everyone who had a part in the making of 2,689 fried apple pies during their recent annual sale.
New business included notifying members that the whole pies will be made on Sept. 16 through noon on the 20th and drying of apples will be held on Sept. 30 through Oct. 4.
For the program, the group made 26 laundry bags for a mission project, to be used when a disaster strikes. Laundry will be washed, dried, folded and put in the 13-gallon trash bags and returned to the owner(s).
After the awarding of the door prize, the meeting was adjourned.
