Lindsey Annette Sigmon and Michael Lee Day were united in marriage on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Buffalo Baptist Church in Shelby. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Max Turner Jr.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Mayhew of Lincolnton and Mr. Patrick Sigmon of Crouse. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Gail Sneed and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Sigmon of Lincolnton, and Mr. Don Mayhew of Cherryville, and the late Mr. Jim Sneed and Mrs. Linda Mayhew. She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Bessie Neal of Lincolnton, and Mrs. Gladys Fowler of Shelby.
Lindsey is a graduate of West Lincoln High School in Lincolnton. She is employed at Ironton Animal Hospital in Iron Station.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Day of Cherryville. He is the grandson of Mrs. JoAnn Day of Cherryville, and the late Mr. Lloyd Day, Mrs. Margie Hager, and Mr. Joe Hager.
Michael is a graduate of Cherryville High School in Cherryville, and the Hairstyling Institute of Charlotte in Charlotte. He is employed at Stanley Barbershop in Stanley.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Mr. Patrick Sigmon and her step-father, Mr. Tim Mayhew. The groom’s father, Mr. Doug Day served as best man. The children of the bride, Bailey and Bryson served as the flower girl and ring bearer. Miss Kara Hager, cousin of the groom, served as the register attendant.
A reception was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Tim Mayhew at the Buffalo Baptist Church Fellowship Hall following the ceremony.
Michael and Lindsey reside in Cherryville.
