Four Lincoln County nonprofits will unite Saturday for the organizations’ annual “Cruisin’ for a Cause” event in downtown Lincolnton.
The community fundraiser draws in classic and antique cars as well as motorcycles and other unique vehicles in order for residents to enjoy a popular pastime from previous generations.
From minivans to bicycles, all forms of transportation are encouraged to join the cruise up and down Main Street and around the courthouse.
Individuals interested in entering a vehicle in the cruise line must purchase a $3 magnet.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Amy’s House, a local domestic violence shelter, Hesed House of Hope, the area’s homeless shelter, Relay for Life, a supporter of cancer research, and Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse and Child Advocacy Center, an agency that assists child victims of physical and sexual abuse.
The event will additionally feature its very first “cupcake wars” contest.
