Church open house
St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 4057 King Wilkinson Rd. in Lincolnton, will host an open house for an after school camp 5:30-6:30 p.m. for ages 5-12.
School supply event
Communities in Schools, in partnership with United Way of Lincoln County and Wal-Mart and other area nonprofits and churches, will handout backpacks with school supplies to area residents in need 1-3 p.m. at the Farmers Market in Lincolnton. Parents must bring their children in order to collect items and will be asked to stay in their vehicles and drive up to the market, where volunteers will take down their information.
“Paint & Sip”
Gallery 27, 808 W. N.C. 27 in Lincolnton, will host a “Paint & Sip” event 7-9 p.m. with owner Stacey Pilkington-Smith. All skill levels are welcome. Cost is $20 for gallery members and $25 for non-members. Attendants must be 21 and up and are asked to bring their own wine bottle. Canvas, paints, paintbrushes and easels will be provided.
