Harrison Randolph Fisher Jr.

Mr. Harrison Randolph Fisher, Jr., age 68, of 1594 Lenora Circle in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, August 15, 2013.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kathy McAbee officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Fisher was born March 5, 1945 in Evanston, Ill. to the late Harrison Randolph Fisher, Sr. and Mary Grace Cullinane Fisher.  He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict and then later worked as a ramp service manager for United Airlines, retiring after 33 years.  Mr. Fisher volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem in Lincoln County.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Rudisill Fisher of the home; two sons, Harrison Randolph Fisher, III of Leesburg, Va. and Jeffrey Cale Fisher of Gastonia; one daughter, Jennifer Fisher Hernandez of Surprise, Ariz.; one sister, Bonnie Fisher Baldini of Denver, Colo.; a stepson, Charles Daniel Eurey of Lincolnton; a stepdaughter, Kristin Eurey Hyslop of Lincolnton; and eleven grandchildren.

Tabitha Ann Morrison

Tabitha Ann Morrison, age 20, of 1055 Bexley Lane in Lincolnton died on Friday, August 16, 2013.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at New Vision Ministries.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday at New Vision Ministries.

Tabitha was born August 28, 1992 in Lincoln County and is survived by her parents Mark and Tammy Walker Morrison; one sister Crystal Walker of the home, two brothers, Matthew Morrison and Christopher Morrison of the home; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Carolyn Walker.  She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Walter and Nancy Morrison.

Elbert ‘Rick’ Dunn Rickman

Mr. Elbert “Rick” Dunn Rickman, age 71, of 517 Lawndale Lane in Lincolnton died on Friday, August 16, 2013.

His funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Pearl Baptist Church with Rev. Malcolm Ivey officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday at Pearl Baptist Church.

Mr. Rickman was born November 30, 1941 in Guildford County to the late Charles and Frances Boozer Rickman.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Guy Rickman and one sister, Ellen Brady.  Mr. Rickman was retired from textiles.  He was a member of Pearl Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Kiser Rickman of the home; three sons, Tony Rickman (Linda) of Lincolnton, Jerry Rickman (Betty) of Cherryville, Tommy Rickman of Cat Square; four daughters, Teresa Clark (Eddie) of Bessemer City, Deborah Carroll of Ellenboro, Lisa Smith (Richie) of Lincolnton, Angela Warren (Gary) of Cherryville; one brother, Charles Rickman of Dallas; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Pearl Baptist Church, Senior Citizens Group, 4657 E. Highway 27, Iron Station, NC 28033.

Robert Carol Wehunt

Robert Carol Wehunt, age 82, of 801 E. Hoke Street in Lincolnton, died on Friday, August 16, 2013.

His funeral service will be 1 p.m. today at Hulls Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Marcus Redding officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. today at Warlick Funeral Home and then from noon until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Wehunt was born September 3, 1930 in Lincoln County to the late Wilford Ralph and Brite Taylor Wehunt.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and then later worked as a truck driver for Carolina Freight Carriers for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, June Powell Wehunt of the home; two sons, Terry Andrew Wehunt and wife Deb and Ralph Carroll Wehunt and wife Lisa, all of Lincolnton; one brother, W.C. Wehunt and wife Dot of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Drew Wehunt, Hannah Wehunt, and Heather Wehunt; and one great-grandchild, Cloie Wehunt.

Clarice ‘Jean’ Carpenter

Clarice “Jean” Rudisill Carpenter, 79 of Lincolnton died Saturday, August 17, 2013. Arrangements are incomplete at Warlick Funeral Home.

Helen Lawing Beard

Helen Lawing Beard, 90, of Lincolnton, formerly of Maiden died August 18, 2013.

Services will be held today at Providence Road Baptist Church at 4 p.m.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Gene Seagle

Gene Harold Seagle, 82, of Vale died August 15, 2013.

Visitation will be held today at Carpenter’s Grove Baptist Church from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at Carpenter’s Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be private.
