A Catawba County woman was struck and killed on U.S. 321 south Wednesday morning after she jumped from her alleged kidnapper’s vehicle, according to various news media outlets.
A man, who has yet to be named but is said to be in custody, is accused of taking the woman and stabbing her inside the vehicle during the drive, news outlets said.
After passing through Lincoln County, the victim jumped from the moving vehicle around 6 a.m. in Gastonia, where multiple vehicles struck and killed her, news outlets said.
