A yard sale benefiting the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer will start 6:30 a.m. at the corner of Clarks Creek Rd. and Maiden Hwy. in Lincolnton. Proceeds will specifically support breast cancer research, testing and treatment.

Apple pie sale
The Lincoln County Extension and Community Association will sell fried apple pies today through Aug. 16 for $2 apiece in the demonstration kitchen on the first floor of the Citizens Center in Lincolnton. Pizza fundraiser
Untouchables Pizza, 6020 N.C. 16 in Denver, will host “Spirit Night” 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. with 10 percent of proceeds benefiting the Amity Lane Fund, established for Iron Station residents needing to rebuild a neighborhood road destroyed by recent flooding.
