Machado, Costner Wedding

Mrs. Princeton Bruce Costner

Loren Michelle Machado and Princeton Bruce Costner were united in marriage on Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Charlotte at the Alexander Homestead Venue.
Loren is the daughter of Dave and Robin Machado of Lincolnton. Grandparents are Mrs. Rose Story and the late Mr. Harold Story, and also the late Mrs. Alda Schladensky and Mr. Michael Machado.
Bruce is the son of Tracy and Kim Costner of Bessemer City. Grandparents are Ms. Barbara Painter and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Painter, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Costner.
The Reverend Preston Davis, of High Point, officiated the ceremony.
Loren wore a wedding dress from the Allure Bridal Collection. The dress was covered with delicate, ivory/silver floral lace appliques and tulle, adorned with embroidery and crystals over a charmeuse, satin, V-neck and deep V-back sheath lining with sheer touches to highlight the lace. The natural waistline opened to a slim A-line with a train.
The bridesmaids wore gray, taffeta, knee length dresses, with a scoop neck and wide sash, accented with yellow bubble necklaces, earrings, and shoes. Miss Shelley Diane Stevens of Lincolnton, cousin of the bride, was Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Leslie Marie Costner of Bessemer City, and sister of the groom, friends of the bride, Mrs. Lauren Lord Urban of Wilmington, and Mrs. Nicole Richter Thomas of Cary. Mr. Devan Warren Bumgarner of Brevard, was also a special attendant of the bride.
Mr. Jonathan David Costner of Gastonia, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. David Aaron Machado of Raleigh and brother of the bride, friends of the groom, Mr. Brandon Zachary Hamacher and Mr. Anthony Thomas Miranda of Charlotte, Mr. William Dale Stiles of Gastonia, and Mr. Mark Anthony Wilson of Mocksville.
Mrs. Whilhemina Ledford of Lincolnton, a special friend of the family and bride, was an Honorary Attendant.
Ms. Paige Rice of Lincolnton, and special friend, was soloist, and Mrs. Joan Johnson was harpist.
The couple had an engagement party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Randy Marcum, Mr. and Mrs. Tyler Huffman, and Mr. and Mrs. B.J. O’Brien, a Christmas brunch, hosted by Ms. Laura Lineberger and Mrs. Jan Lynn, a luncheon hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Keith Dedmond, a miscellaneous shower hosted by Mrs. Mickie Stevens, Miss Shelley Stevens, and Mrs. Letha Owen. Also, a miscellaneous shower was hosted by teachers and friends of the Lincoln Charter School, and a bridesmaid’s luncheon hosted by Mrs. Marjie Machado, Mrs. Betty Doster, and Mrs. Barbara Efird. Mrs. Debi Ballard and Mrs. Lois Lineberger also hosted a bridesmaid’s brunch on the day of the wedding.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the lakeside home of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Story of Hickory, with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Wilson serving as hosts.
After a honeymoon trip to San Francisco, and Los Angeles, the couple is residing in Bessemer City.
