Brittany Anne Knox and Peyton David Spivey were married June 15, 2013 in Cary. Reverend Joel Murr officiated at the ceremony. The couple was married outside on the patio at 5 p.m. at MacGregor Downs Country Club in front of 200 guests. The bride wore a lace and tulle Pronovias gown. The reception followed with hors d’oeuvres and dinner. Dancing finished off the celebration. The couple left for a honeymoon on the island of St. Lucia.
The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Suzanne Knox of Cary and granddaughter of Kay Wilson and the late John Wilson of Lincolnton and Jerry and Jane Knox from Greensboro.
The groom is the son of David and Deborah Spivey of Sanford. He is the grandson of Hubert and Edith Grant of Sanford and Mary Thomas of Sanford.
The maid of honor was Miss. Haley Simmons of Greensboro. Other bridal attendants were Megan Ransone, Alyssa Savino, Rachel Barnes, Amy Marie Knox, Hilary Colborn, Abbey Osborne, and Lauren Pyrch.
The best man was John-Mark Krugger of Sanford. Additional groomsmen were Ethan Spivey (brother of the groom), Andrew Knox (brother of the bride), Keeshan Ganatra, Brandon Lee, Matt Bailer, Tony Muniz, and Gordon Edmiston.
The bride graduated from North Carolina State University from the College of Textiles with a degree in Textile Technology, and is employed with PA Group, USA.
The groom graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Civil Engineering and is employed by Reynolds, Smith and Hills Engineering Firm.
The bride and groom will reside in Apex.
