Lincoln Charter School has added two coaches to its fall sports coaching staff, the school announced in a press release last week.
Jonathan Kerch takes over the girls tennis team while Chesnee Daily will take over the junior varsity volleyball team while assisting with the varsity program.
Kerch comes to Lincoln Charter with more than eight years of full-time coaching experience, including time in the Atlanta area while working under Gary Grollman and his national-recognized tennis academy.
Kerch is a graduate of Piedmont College in Demorest, Ga., where he played No. 2 singles and doubles for its men’s tennis team. He is also the head pro at Westport Tennis Club.
“Jonathan will be a great addition to the LCS community. He is new to the area and has worked quickly to get to know our Denver community as well as look for ways to serve in the area of athletics,” Eagles Athletic Director Daniel Schmitz said in the release.
Daily comes to Lincoln Charter School as a standout setter at Bluefield University, where she was named its female athlete of the year as a senior, the press release said.
She was also a standout high school player at Mooresville High.
“Chesnee is a positive and energetic addition to our volleyball staff,” Schmitz said. “We are excited to see her work with our student athletes.”
