By the Lincoln Times-News
Cherryville Post 100’s run at adding to its record of consecutive Area IV championships is still going strong.
Tyler Shumaker drove in three runs and Cameron High took a shutout bid into the seventh inning as Post 100 advanced with a 6-2 win over Mint Hill at Charlotte Independence in Game 4 of their best-of-five quarterfinal series on Sunday.
The win came after Mint Hill stayed alive with a 10-9 extra-inning win earlier on Sunday, a doubleheader forced by Saturday’s rainout.
