The Lincoln County Board of Education is expected to take action on a variety of items during its regular monthly meeting Tuesday evening, as well as hear various reports.
First on the agenda is the consideration of several Policy Committee recommendations, including one regarding attendance, another on the community’s use of facilities and a policy on the disposal of surplus property, all of which stood open for 25 days.
The School Board will also weigh vendors for bread, chemicals, ice cream, milk and other food supplies for the coming school year. Also for the 2013-2014 year, mowing bids will be considered, in addition to school renovations and projects.
Reports will be given on the “Give Kids a Smile” volunteer dentist program, the 2013 Science and Technology Camp, graduation, school-facility requests and school-sponsored sales, a quarterly budget update and the latest on various construction projects.
Edward Moolenaar is also scheduled to appear before the board, for an unspecified reason.
The meeting, at the board office on North Generals Boulevard in Lincolnton, begins at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
