It has more than a week now since deputies said two teen sisters fled their northeastern Lincoln County home.
The Sheriff’s Office said Mahagony Smith, 17, and Aniya Symone Mickey-Weeks, 14, ran away from a home on McCorkle Road on June 25.
The agency first alerted the public about the missing teens on Monday.
A godmother who didn’t know the sisters were runaways told detectives she took them to a Charlotte residence.
The out-of-county home was located off Beatties Ford Road in the Slater Ridge subdivision, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The sisters are African-American.
Mickey-Weeks is 5-foot-6 , weighing about 120 pounds, and Smith is 5-foot-7, weighing roughly 125 pounds, deputies said.
The National Crime Information Center has entered the teens’ information into their system.

Anyone who has details on the teens’ whereabouts can contact the Lincoln County Communications Center at (704) 735-8202 or the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at (704) 732-9050.
