Narcotics investigators are currently on scene at a meth lab bust in northern Lincoln County.
James Christopher Coleman, 42, of Bob Cook Road in Maiden, is accused of possessing more than two dozen one-pot labs both inside his residence and in areas surrounding the property.
Investigators responded to the home to arrest Coleman Thursday afternoon based on meth precursors they said they spotted during a “knock-and-talk” at the home on a previous occasion.
Deputies also discovered remnants of a meth lab inside the crawl space of an abandoned house located behind the suspect’s residence.
Officials with the State Bureau of Investigation are assisting Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office with cleaning up the chemicals.
Coleman told the Times-News he is innocent of any drug use. He said the meth products belonged to individuals who were previously living with him.
