American Legion Legionnaire of the Year

Contributed Robert Welch of Denver was recently named the “American Legion Legionnaire of the Year” for North Carolina during the American Legion Department Convention, held in Raleigh June 12-15. Welch is the adjutant of Post 400 at Hickory Grove. He is the vice commander of District 20 of Charlotte. He is additionally on the committee of Veterans Employment and Veterans Preference of the American Legion Department of North Carolina, while also serving on the Honorary National Executives Committee of the National Counter-Subversive Activities.
